The Grey Nuns congregation is in retirement mode but their historical heritage continues to exist.
So, I live right next door to their former convent-hospice in Old Montreal and it was their annual open house recently (Sunday and Saturday September 11 and 12, 2021).
I like to visit every year because their convent has always attracted me.
I must say that I lived most of my childhood in a presbytery in Gaspésie when my aunt was the cook of the village priest.
The Grey Nuns Convent is a magnificent historical site and it is to be hoped that it will one day become a public museum. To be continued...
