THE ARTIST HÉLÈNE BOUDREAU IS ON HER WAY

HÉLÈNE BOUDREAU THE ARTIST -
By Bernard Bujold -
Hélène Boudreau made an interesting montage using small colored cards (number for the painting) according to the concept of pixels in photography except that you had to know your colors to recreate the image of your graduation photo and Photoshop didn't do the job...
If I were still an art collector, I would bet on the artist Hélène Boudreau as I once bet, in another life, on a Corno or an Armand Vaillancourt.
In my opinion, Boudreau had a stroke of luck with the UQAM gaffe that made her a star of the day, but as with all strokes of luck, it's what comes next that counts. The artist seems to know how to renew herself and be on his way to last. His canvas with small color-coded papers is a brilliant idea!

THE POLARIZATION OF THE MEDIA AND SOCIETY

THE POLARIZATION OF THE MEDIA AND SOCIETY
By Bernard Bujold -
This Thursday, April 29, 2021, Le Devoir published the first of a series of articles on the polarization of the media and society. We can summarize by saying that it is an impossible challenge to rally a society, especially in 2021 with the numerous means of communication available to all. Whether one loves a Donald Trump, Justin Trudeau, François Legault, Horacio Arruda or a Valérie Plante; there is another half that hates him just as deeply as the half that loves him. The worst thing about polarization is that people only believe the texts that confirm their opinions...
Unfortunately, the texts in Le Devoir do not offer the solution to end polarization. https://www.ledevoir.com/societe/599739/societe-sommes-nous-plus-divises-que-jamais

Ulysse had planned it well and with the acquisition of a magnificent Turkish carpet, he will be able to live the F1 Grand Prix of Canada on June 13 as if he was in Turkey... Many Montrealers may want to copy the faithful Ulysses and if you are nice, he might tell you where he managed to find his beautiful carpet... For fans of the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, there is still the bike!

MY NEIGHBOR LEAVES WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE

MY NEIGHBOR LEAVES WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE -
By Bernard Bujold -
My neighbor and I shared the same habit of going to the gym. The neighbor in question was however more "granola" and drank coconut water and consumed natural foods.
He had decided to retire last July (2020) after a 40 year career.
Last Tuesday, he went to the gym at 11 a.m. and I went an hour later, at noon.
he next afternoon, the man suffered a ruptured aorta. He died at the age of 63...
Life is unpredictable, even if you train at the gym!

NATHALIE BONDIL - MONTREAL LOSES A STAR...

MONTREAL LOSES A STAR...
By Bernard Bujold -
The year 2021 will not be better than 2020, for Montrealers...
Indeed, this news of the departure and appointment in Paris of Nathalie Bondil has just come out in the media!
I am very happy for her!
I will never forget the beautiful time of her years in Montreal and the memory of her inspiration at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
But nothing lasts forever and life is a journey, with departures and arrivals.

IN THE ERA OF THE CORONAVIRUS, THE PLAGUE, AND LOVE...

IN THE ERA OF THE CORONAVIRUS, THE PLAGUE, AND LOVE...
By Bernard Bujold -
I have just finished reading Albert Camus' book "LA PESTE".
At the end, the plague virus has disappeared except that all the characters are dead and only the narrator and the journalist remain...
Their conclusion is that in the end only love really matters, but unfortunately love is often a feeling that will never become a reality of life, for a thousand and one reasons. These women or these men that we wanted to love but love never came. In short, in the face of death, only love and its memory count.
An excellent book very topical in 2021!

NATHALIE BONDIL - PART OF THE CONTINUATION...

NATHALIE BONDIL - PART OF THE CONTINUATION...
By Bernard Bujold-
Anne Eschapasse, the person who was supposed to be Nathalie Bondil's assistant but to whom the president of the Museum did not want to give the job, has found a new job at the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montréal (MAC) as assistant executive director.
In a way, without meaning to, it is this person who is at the origin of the whole saga at the MBAM and the sad departure of Nathalie Bondil.
Personally, even today, I miss the good old days of the Museum when it was under the inspiration of Nathalie Bondil!

MICHEL LOUVAIN (1940-2021)

MICHEL LOUVAIN (1940-2021) -
By Bernard Bujold
The Quebec singer Michel Louvain was a legend. Personally, I liked his songs but I was not a fan and I only attended one of his shows, a group show presented during Just for Laughs in July 2001 and produced by Gilbert Rozon... I was there as a journalist and I took three pictures of Louvain.
Michel Louvain was a star known for his always classy clothes. Strangely enough, my favorite singer of all time, Willie Nelson, had started his career in Louvain's style with a tie and a jacket but nobody went to his shows. One day he decided to change his style and he became a big star. That's why it's important for an artist to know what our audience wants. Michel Louvain and Willie Nelson understood this!

THE ADVENTURES OF GILBERT ROZON

THE ADVENTURES OF GILBERT ROZON -
By Bernard Bujold -
The events surrounding the life of Gilbert Rozon are worthy of an American TV series like "BULL" on CBS.
The next episode will be the civil suit by Patricia Tulasne for an amount of 1.6 million dollars for sexual assault.
To be continued!
