A CONE OF ICE CREAM…

Last night, on my way to buy a book at Indigo, I had to walk past a massive crowd gathered in front of the ice cream shop. The line stretched all the way to the Sport Expert store.
I love ice cream, and I never turn down a bargain, but some offers are just too much for me.
So Ben & Jerry’s offer was just too much for me…
A free ice cream cone, but only after waiting in line behind several hundred people—and on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, it was raining.
It still baffles me to see people willing to subject themselves to physical suffering just to save a few pennies.
Note that a single-scoop Ben & Jerry’s cone costs $10, plus tip…
They say that “Free Cone Day” is a Ben & Jerry’s tradition all over the world and that on this day, over 1 million free cones were handed out.
As for me, I’ll have to save up if I want to try a Ben & Jerry’s cone, because the free offer only lasted one day—and that was yesterday...
