Indeed, Bernard Arnault ($208 BILLION) is married to Montreal pianist Hélène Mercier who is the mother of three of Arnault's five children.
As for Elon Musk ($192 BILLION), his mother (originally from Saskatchewan) lived briefly in Montreal in the late 1980's after her divorce from Elon's father who lived in Pretoria, South Africa.
I met Arnault's wife, Hélène Mercier, twice, once with her parents at the launch of her autobiography. Hélène is an approachable woman who is very friendly.
Two questions arise: what is the secret of the wealth of the two richest men in the world; and are they happier?
Their wealth seems to have no secret except a superior intelligence favoring mathematics. Arnault is an engineer and Musk is an expert in physics and economics who specialized in computer science.
Are they happy with their wealth? In their case I would say yes, because even rich, they continue to dream of new projects and as happiness is in the hope rather than in the observation, Bernard Arnault and Elon Musk would be two happy men ...
