Two well-known American television anchors left their network on Monday morning. Tucker Carlson, Fox News’s highest-rated prime-time host, is leaving the network, a network spokeswoman said Monday. Mr. Carlson’s last show was on Friday. 
Regarding Don Lemon, the CNN news anchor said on Twitter that his agent told him Monday after his morning show that he was out of a job starting today...

This Saturday, April 22, is Earth Day 2023. 
Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970. Today, more than one billion people in 193 countries take action on Earth Day each year (the world's population is 7.88 billion). Over the years, Earth Day has become the largest participatory environmental movement on the planet. 
Ulysse and I are taking advantage of this day to prepare the garden for the summer...

One advantage of being an old man in 2023 is that you can observe society without necessarily wanting to actively participate in its change! The present time is difficult, to say the least, if you are of the younger generation and want to change the world with your dreams. 
The COVID crisis of 2020, the war between Russia and Ukraine that can become a third world atomic war and destroy the planet, the political polarization all over the world where a middle ground and common sense of opinions no longer exist, the urban violence, the abandonment of buildings in the city centers because of working at home, the transformation of interpersonal relationships in society, etc. In short, humanity is in a difficult situation... 
Fortunately, there is the machine and the artificial intelligence that invade humanity. Maybe the machine will bring back the good old days of my youth? Humans seem to have dropped out of the planet earth...

The two richest men in the world are connected to Montreal... 

Indeed, Bernard Arnault ($208 BILLION) is married to Montreal pianist Hélène Mercier who is the mother of three of Arnault's five children. As for Elon Musk ($192 BILLION), his mother (originally from Saskatchewan) lived briefly in Montreal in the late 1980's after her divorce from Elon's father who lived in Pretoria, South Africa. 

I met Arnault's wife, Hélène Mercier, twice, once with her parents at the launch of her autobiography. Hélène is an approachable woman who is very friendly. 

Two questions arise: what is the secret of the wealth of the two richest men in the world; and are they happier? 

Their wealth seems to have no secret except a superior intelligence favoring mathematics. Arnault is an engineer and Musk is an expert in physics and economics who specialized in computer science. 

Are they happy with their wealth? In their case I would say yes, because even rich, they continue to dream of new projects and as happiness is in the hope rather than in the observation, Bernard Arnault and Elon Musk would be two happy men ...

I have great admiration for Elon Musk and share most of his ideas. 
I like to think that I feel a connection with him because he and I were both born on a June 28th... 
One important difference, however, is our power in society and our personal wealth! 
I loved the interview conducted with Musk by Tucker Carlson on Fox News (April 17 and 18, 2023). In this interview, Elon Musk shares his knowledge and opinions on artificial intelligence, the objectivity of modern media, politicians, banking and finance in the world, the future of humanity and even the possible existence of aliens...

THE JOURNEY OF HAPPINESS -

They say that happiness is never a destination, but a journey! 
When I was younger, I looked for happiness in events that were ultimately destinations. 
Today, I no longer attend social events or gatherings of crowds and prefer intimate encounters, or solitude. This is my concept of the 10%. I used to accept all invitations, but 90% of them ended up being a waste of time. Today I refuse 90% and the use of my time has become happy. 
Happiness is the journey... 
My most beautiful journey is the one in a gym with the only distraction being the sight of the machines and their silence (except the one I use). For me, a lonely gym is like a church. 
Happy spring 2023.

The Gauls were afraid that the sky would fall on their heads... 
Montrealers are more and more afraid that the walls and windows of skyscrapers will fall on their heads! 
Indeed, another high-rise building under construction saw some of its windows fall on the sidewalk, Tuesday evening, April 11, 2023, in downtown Montreal, corner of McGill and Saint-Jacques streets. Fortunately, no one received a window on the head... 
Personally, I pass daily in the area. We can conclude that I have a fate that is favorable to me!
