The legendary PARIS MATCH magazine is on the verge of a change of ownership. The magazine's current owner, the LAGARDÈRE group, is in final negotiations with the luxury goods group LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Hennessy). The sale price is said to be in the region of US$109 million.
The owner of LVMH is a well-known figure. He is the richest man in the world; he is married to the famous Montreal pianist Hélène Mercier; he is a friend of Donald Trump; and he is my namesake: Bernard Arnault.
PARIS MATCH is one of France's most prestigious magazines.
