Geneviève Sabourin - Reporter

Geneviève Sabourin is currently in New York for her defense against charges by Alec Baldwin and she found herself in the storm SANDY. Photos taken in the streets of New York are well made considering she used a iPhone. She should perhaps consider a career in journalism as the next!

LEONARD COHEN - I'M YOUR MAN

by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The new biography of Leonard Cohen written by journalist Sylvie Simmons, I'M YOUR MAN, is the most intimate works to have been published on the great artist from Montreal. We discover the path of Cohen from his beginnings until today, including his relationship with the mysterious Suzanne from Old Montreal and the famous song; his relationship with his family including his son Adam and his girlfriend Anjani Thomas; his financial problems with his manager and friend; and even his great interest in the world of internet... According to Leonard Cohen writing on a computer is particularly rewarding because you can see the results immediately on the screen. Cohen love the concept of the internet and the book tells how he was personally interested in the website The Leonard Cohen Files.
I'M YOUR MAN biography is a must read for all fans of the artist.

The Mayor of Laval - Gilles Vaillancourt

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
According to some rumors close to the political environment, it is the police authorities who would have suggested to the mayor of Laval to withdraw due to health reasons because they are up to the points to file serious accusations with supporting evidence against the mayor, which would lead to his arrest. They wanted to avoid arrest at the City Hall. Note that the Laval police is not participating in the inquiry. An amount of $ 100,000 was found in safety deposit boxes leased by the mayor of Laval in different banking institutions from the region.

Mini iPad or NEXUS 7

by Bernard Bujold (leStudio1.com) -
Personally I love the iPad but if the Nexus 7 had a better camera (1.2 MP vs 5 MP iPad) and a cellular access G4, it would be my favorite device because the Google Apps on Google Play are more pleasant to use than those of Apple Store. I also love the lining of the Google machine. Finally, the size of the Nexus 7 (now comparable to the new iPad Mini) was an advantage over the iPad3 because you can easily carry it with you at all times.

The author Denis Monette and Geneviève Sabourin

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The history of Geneviève Sabourin looks from several levels like the latest novel by the Quebec successful author Denis Monette: LES DÉLAISSÉES. In this novel, there is the story of four women who are seduced by a man who could be called Prince Charming. The man in question has too many qualities for what the four women can offer in return, but despite this, the women close their eyes to the likelihood of failure and they fall passionately in love with the man. This love will lead to the moral and financial bankruptcy of the four women in question.
It's the situation experienced in reality by Geneviève Sabourin. She believed in love and why not? But we must accept the reality that life is rarely a fairy tale and when the proposal seems too good to be true, it usually is the case in novels as in real life!

GENEVIEVE SABOURIN told her story on TV show Denis Lévesque

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The TV host Denis Lévesque has interviewed Geneviève Sabourin who told her side of the story for the first time since her involvement with the American actor Alec Baldwin. One could say that Genevieve was naive to believe in Prince Charming but she says she was sincerely believing. Several men and women are often the victims of such situation. Conclusion: the thunderbolt love does not really exist and if the love story is too good to be true, it is probably the case... Unfortunately Genevieve could not protect against this kind of story because she wanted to believe it and has put her heart in it. One wish her to be luckier next time!

US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE: BARACK OBAMA 1 / MITT ROMNEY 1

By Bernard Bujold(LeStudio1.com) -
Barack Obama has defended himself very well in the debate number 2 and he gave answers more factual than his opponent Mitt Romney but the American public seems to have slightly better appreciated Romney. One thing is certain, Obama has not been knocked unlike the first debate. One could say that the count is 1-1...
The next and last meeting will be held on October 22.

MARC-AIMÉ GUÉRIN AND SECRET STORIES…

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The reputation and achievements of a character do not prevent hidden defects…
The publisher Marc-Aime Guerin (83 years) is considered as a great achiever in Quebec educational publishing with GUÉRIN PUBLICATIONS. Previously, during the years 1959-60, Guérin (then aged 33) was a character symbolizing the quiet revolution for all Quebecers while his dismissal as a teacher had made headlines in all media and his action was then on the same scale as the Red Square (Carré rouge) of 2012…
But now we learn that the great Quebecois will appear in court on October 24 for multiple sex offenses with a minor! You should have heard the victim describe the situation on the TV show hosted by Denis Lévesque… A story so incredible that it looks more like a comedy of manners… I crossed the character in 2009 when a reader of LeStudio1.com had contacted me to complain about the behavior of Marc-Aime Guerin. But I had passed on the subject to La Presse journalist because I found the story too incredible to touch it and I did not want to respond. It seems that I was mistaken because I had on hand a shocking story and a scoop…

Gilbert Finn and the Canadian University debate...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The debate about University tuition is not new and already in 1982 the University of Moncton was at the forefront ...
I put my hand on the autobiography of the Acadian Gilbert Finn that I knew during the years 1980-1984 when he was rector of the Université de Moncton and I was living in Moncton (my son still lives there). The book written by Gilbert Finn was published in 2000 and it is now inaccessible except in library or used copy. This character was a real true Acadian leader and he was involved in several major projects including the newspaper Evangeline besides being Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.
Gilbert Finn is now 92 years old and lives in Dieppe with his family (he had 9 children...)

The honor to be police officer...

By Bernard Bujold (leStudio1.com) -
There was a time when people were proud of their Montreal police and it was an honor to be photographed with the Chef.
This was my case in the late 1990's when I was befriending the chief Jacques Duchesneau...
One of his closest collaborators was even my "brother-in-law" while going out with my sister.
The police at the time was a proud brotherhood and you could feel the collegial relationship between them. You could especially see the respect between police and citizens.
This is no longer true in 2012 and there is a kind of "hatred" and "contempt" from the citizens towards the police in Montreal. This situation is very sad and even if you can criticize the former chief Jacques Duchesneau who is sometimes arrogant, we must admit that the officers under his direction were respected and loved by the public.
Jacques would never have tolerated a Matricule 728...
Hopefully this time will come back!
For the record, I almost became a police officer after my friendships with Duchesneau. In fact, my "brother-in-law" and I had seriously considered to start a private detective agency... We made several actions for the license but when it came time to pay the deposit of $ 10,000 we abandoned the idea considering other high investments that would have been required to make in terms of equipment for our work as spies . IPhones did not exist at the time...
There was also the fact that the "brother-in-law" and my sister separated...
END OF STORY! /

Montreal is on fire...

 By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The city of Montreal is on fire... The mayor is in disgrace; the city police have no public confidence following the actions of some agents such as Matricule 728 which has demonstrated repeatedly unacceptable violence and spoken shameful words; and the mafia is routed...
Faced with such a situation, it is better to leave the city for the winter and do like the old florist on St-Jacques Street in Montreal who left for the south and will return in the spring...
Stay tuned!
