THE NEXT POPE: Georg Gänswein...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
Benedict XVI officially retires Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 8 pm (time Paris-Rome). He leaves then by helicopter to Castel Gandolfo.
My prediction on who the next Pope will be: Georg Gänswein. Why? Because the resignation of Benedict XVI is caused by crises at the Vatican and they need a Pope very strong. They say Gänswein he is not afraid of anything and he is very loyal to Benedict XVI. In addition he very familiar with the Vatican. It was he who discovered the plot of the recent stolen documents and he confronted the thief, the former butler of the Pope. In addition, several important member of the Church, as for one Mgr Jean-Claude Turcotte, said that the next pope could be someone other than one of the 117 members of the Conclave. The table is set for a candidate like Gänswein.
According to me, Benedict XVI has resigned with the plan to be replaced by his faithful DON GEORG...
A real novel like Dave Brown and his Da Vinci Code.

SPRING SKIING AND STUDENT PROTESTS...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
It felt like at the bottom of the slopes of Mont Tremblant after an afternoon of spring skiing but it was rather a gathering held in downtown Montreal and it was a student protest...
If there is one conclusion to be drawn it is that the change of government in Quebec Parliament has done nothing to eliminate student discontent and there appears the return of spring maple, version 2013! Another conclusion is that the police do not have a sense of humor and do not like to be throw snowballs...
Stay tuned!

THE CULTURE OF ITALY AND COMMISSION CHARBONNEAU -

by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
If there is a finding following current Charbonneau Commission hearings on the construction industry in Quebec is the obvious lack of knowledge of Italian culture by Commission officials! Anyone who has known Italians recognize in the speech of Nicolo Miliotto the original flavor and the typical old Italy. For an Italian, all life's problems can be solved over coffee or a meal and you should never ask too many questions, because for an Italian, to be discreet is a feature that comes with birth. Some call this behavior Omerta...
Is the witness lying? The old Italian saying responds well to the question: "To live a little, you have to cheat a little ..."
The Commission has made a strategic error by questioning the witness in French rather than Italian. Because the witness does not speak French well, you lose all the color and true thought. But it may also be the witness who chose this language for just, to cheat a little...
"Per vivere un po, si deve imbrogliare un po."
"Buona giornata a tutti e viva l'Italia"

The Charbonneau Commission

You'd think it's a music or hockey star! Judge France Charbonneau is displayed everywhere on giant billboards placed for Radio-Canada on the edges of highways to attract the attention of motorists from Montreal...
The problem is that the Commission is serious and we should be away from the "star system". But also another problem, all other media also broadcast the audience live...

GAETAN FRIGON - The art of selling

by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
Gaétan Frigon has just published his autobiography. We can say about the star of the french TV show DANS L'OEIL DU DRAGON that he had previously been the best president of the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) and never, neither before or since, this company had a manager who was as knowledgeable and skillful as seller.
This is actually what is holding the autobiography of Gaétan Frigon: he is a natural salesman and his success clearly demonstrate it! You cannot compare Frigon to a kind of entrepreneur like Pierre Peladeau or Paul Desmarais because he did not have the same kind of personality or character. Peladeau and Desmarais are killers at heart while Frigon is a salesman at heart. An entrepreneur wants to dominate his opponents and he takes pleasure in winning as does an athlete in competition. A seller wants to attract the public and convince it to buy the product he is offering.
It is interesting to read the path of Gaétan Frigon since his time at Eaton through the SAQ and Loto Québec until his recent broadcast on TV as investors-dragon. You can see a summary of the book on his personal website.

The real music according to ROBERT DELONG

by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
I'm usually a fan of Cecilia Bartoli or Gregorian chants but now, I'm also a fan of the music of Robert Delong!
This young singer-musician is basically what I think is the real music and poetry. I discovered him on David Letterman when he presented a song from her new album: JUST MOVEMENT.
An artist to discover...

Pope Benedict XVI leaves the Vatican...

by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The resignation of Pope Benedict XVI is a complete surprise and it was influenced by three possibilities:
1. A calculated strategy of public relations;
2. A plot of internal politics that forced the resignation;
3. The Pope is really tired and destroyed following recent betrayal by his inner circle.
According to me, this is option 1, a public relations game to attract attention but also demonstrate openness of the Catholic Church facing modern society. The resignation would be in the momentum of the registration of the Pope on Twitter.
It takes some courage to disturb traditions and in a sense Pope Benedict XVI has always been an intellectual and therefore open to questioning traditions.
The question now is who will replace him? If the theory of public relations is good, it is reasonable to infer that the next pope will be colorful. Many talk about Cardinal Ouellet who is a student and protected Benedict XVI.
The answer by Easter.

The youth of politicians...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The scandal surrounding Senator Patrick Brazeau is dramatic for the political world, but especially sad for the young people. How can a young Senator of 38 years old can break a career and destroy an institution indirectly with him?
Youth is not an excuse, but obviously the lack of seriousness is the cause.
Other young politicians took advantage of their youth and of unexpected opportunities of life. Consider the case of Ruth Ellen Brosseau MP, 28 years old, who has seized the opportunity presented to her and make it, to date, a success despite the predictions.
The Senator is a disgrace and he should resign to make way for other young people, especially as Brosseau. There is no other solution to the problem!
