LA PRESSE in 2011

The group La Presse of Montreal launched (Tuesday, October 25, 2011) its new website.
The goal to bring together all the communication tools of La Presse in one is a great idea. This action probably go toward the objective to eventually eliminate the paper edition.
Unfortunately for the management of La Presse, their launch has had some problems because the pictures did not fit on the various web browsers such as Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
La Presse wants to consolidate its position as number one media in Quebec where it has come to dominate so far.
The website that threatened them most was the old format of Rue Frontenac in the days when the locked out journalists of Le Journal de Montreal were running it. It is no longer the case since the end of the conflict and the departure of the team to other various media. Two of them are now at La Presse: Fabrice de Pierrebourg and Jean Philippe Decarie.
Meanwhile, the team LeStudio1.com went to make a last visit to the old bulletin board of paper La Presse.
To be continued ...

The book of Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs's book is wonderful!
The photo of the inside cover was taken in 2004 when Steve is in his personal office at home.
The book sells for $ 25 in English and French versions will be available Wednesday (Oct. 26) except that it will sell $ 40 ...
The first advice that Steve had been given by his adoptive father: "When you paint a fence, make sure to paint both sides, even the hidden, to show people that will pass before it that you are a perfectionist who give attention to detail ... "
This is the theory that he has used with its computers.
The book is a most read!

The 28 years of Stephanie

Happy Birthday to Stephanie!
28 years is a good age.
When I was 28, it was in 1984.
On September 4 of that year, I was in Baie Comeau with Brian Mulroney and you too, you were there ... in the arms of Mila Mulroney!
Time passed and will continue to do so.
We must therefore seize every moment to the fullest!
Here for your 28, 28 photo from the albums of my memory ...
I love you.

VOTING DAY IN TUNISIA - After Egypt and Libya, it is now in Tunisia to live the revolution ...

It was voting day Sunday in Tunisia and so far everything is going peacefully. The participation rate exceeded between 70% to 90%.
With the death of Gaddafi, the elections this Sunday in Tunisia are becoming increasingly important to monitor.
Tunisia is an Arab country in North Africa belonging to the Maghreb and the first democratic elections since the regime of dictator Ben Ali are held on 23 October.
Many observers worry, however, the violence that could result and many compared the situation to that of nearby countries such as Egypt and Libya of Qaddafi.
Recall December 17, 2010, Mohamed Bouazizi, peddler 26 years old, who put heimself on fire. This event became the first in a series of events that led to the collapse of the regimes in Tunisia, Egypt and a civil war in Libya as well as challenged other governments in place in much of the Arab world.
Many Canadians are temporarily up there as observers and it is in the case of Rafael Ferraro Primeau, a student at the University of Sherbrooke who wanted to go to Tunisia and participate in a training collaboration.
One can understand the political situation in Tunisia by reading the blog of Rafael Primeau.

Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney attends the conference of Mikhail Gorbachev in Montreal

The two former political leaders Mikhail Gorbachev and Brian Mulroney are great friends, but their opinions differ on the fate that was reserved for the dictator Gaddafi. According to Gorbachev, people should not have used much violence to democratize Libya. For his part, Mulroney considers right and proper the violent end of the dictator.
Former prime minister Brian Mulroney has joined the discussion period at the conference of Mikhail Gobatchev presented Friday, October 21, 2011 to members of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.
Earlier this week, Gorbatchev was in Vancouver with Richard Branson.

Occupy Wall Street - Montreal 2011

Thousands of demonstrators moved to the former Montreal Stock Exchange to join the movement "Occupy Wall Street" (Saturday, October 15, 2011).
Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) wanted to watch the event by walking in the park. Everything went well until the rain began to fall and Bernard opened his umbrella without remembering that it was a promotional item that he had received as a gift from a major Canadian bank... Oops!

The case of Dominique Strauss-Kahn is similar to the one of Guy Cloutier - When the woman is stronger than man ...

The case of Dominique Strauss Kahn and Tristane Banon is closed and there will be no criminal charges brought against the French politician.
Recall that the rape charges in New York at Sofitel were also removed.
Strauss Kahn's story bears an uncanny resemblance to that of Quebec impresario Guy Cloutier (a man of prestige and power) that the singer Nathalie Simard had accused of sexual abuse on a minor. Guy Cloutier immediately surrendered and pleaded guilty without presenting a defense. Many of his friends had criticized Cloutier for failing to defend himself or to have presented an explanation for his actions. (December 2004)
Strauss-Kahn defended himself tooth and nail and he is finally released from all criminal charges. Does Strauss Kahn is a man stronger and better than Guy Cloutier? The two men are probably similar except that Dominique had in his corner a woman strong and a true warrior. The real winner of this story is Anne Sinclair who fought against all of it. It can be concluded that this is the victory of a woman in a battle of women. It is not Strauss-Kahn who faced his accusers, but in both case, Anne Sinclair fought fiercely against events.
Spread the word: "The woman is stronger than man ..."
