THE GASPE PENINSULA OF MY CHILDHOOD...

THE GASPE PENINSULA OF MY CHILDHOOD
By Bernard Bujold -
Often in the evening, when I fall asleep, I dream of the Gaspésie of my childhood...
A sad awakening this morning (September 30, 2020) while reading in Le Devoir that the small region of the Baie des Chaleurs is the one most affected by cases of Coronavirus compared to the rest of Quebec!
Seems that the sweet memory of my native "Gaspésie" is only a memory and far from the reality of 2020...

The members voted in favour of three of the four candidates proposed by the members and thus rejected the candidacy of Michel de la Chenelière who wanted to be re-elected to the Board.
The message is clear from the members to Nathalie Bondil.
Even though the beautiful "October" is visiting a Museum of France, she will embrace her friend Nathalie Bondil with her thoughts and tell her that the members of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts sent her a beautiful message of love tonight, Tuesday, September 29, 2020...

Premier François Legault has decreed that three major regions of Quebec (Greater Montreal, the Capitale-Nationale, with the exception of Portneuf and Charlevoix, and Chaudière-Appalaches) will be classified "red" to fight the Coronavirus from Thursday, October 1 to October 28.
It is possible that other regions will become red and that the current classification of the three major regions will be extended beyond October .

SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IN THE COUNTRYSIDE -
By Bernard Bujold -
The first weekend of autumn 2020 (September 27th) was a kind of Indian summer...
The nature was nice and if the colors were not yet totally out, the show was pleasant and relaxing. Have a nice autumn 2020!

REPORT ON THE MONTREAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

REPORT ON THE MONTREAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS -
By Bernard Bujold-
The investigation report on the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is available online and the Ministry intends to change the law to better control the use of its grant.
Moreover, according to my reading of Daniel Beaupré's report, Pierre Bourgie would be in conflict of interest to hold the presidency of the museum because of his music room (Article 9 of the report on page 16 and paragraph 2.3 on page 31). The new president may have to resign even before being appointed.

JOSÉE BLANCHETTE AND HER NEW NOVEL : MON (JEUNE) AMANT FRANÇAIS

JOSÉE BLANCHETTE - MON (JEUNE) AMANT FRANÇAIS-
By Bernard Bujold -
To change from my political readings and the Coronvirus depression, I read Josee Blanchette's new novel: "MY (YOUNG) FRENCH LOVER" (written in French).
I have never been a fan of Chick Literature romance novels but Josee's book is written more as a biography of modern life and the challenge of love between two people. Josée's book reads like one of her Le Devoir chronicles, in the same style of writing, but spread over 223 pages.
I personally loved it and had a great time!
