He was a friend and I liked to visit him or simply to greet him.
This friend was not a person but a place, the St-James Hotel on St-Jacques Street in Montreal.
I had experienced the creation of his fame in 2005 when the Ritz had recommended him to the Rolling Stones.
It was from that event that the place became a legend!
When I learned of his death this Friday (May 6, 2022), I was sad!
Death is always sad...
