The Grande Bibliothèque was the idea of Lise Bissonnette in 1996, which idea will be realized only 10 years later in 2005 by the Premier at the time Lucien Bouchard.
I used to go to the Grande Bibliothèque a lot but I gave up since the beginning of the March 2020 lockdown.
Will the appointment of the new director Marie Grégoire give the institution a new impetus?
Since the Coronavirus, it is the end of a way of life and a style of civilization.
It is the end of museums, theaters, shopping centers and their stores, large sports and cultural gatherings, restaurants and bars, and libraries.
In the case of the Great Library, not only does the institution have to face the consequences of the virus, but it has to do so with a polarization regarding its new director.
