The question is: How long before he has to resign?
Many people of authority, including Quebec Premier François Legault, are taking to the barricades against Air Canada and its president.
This political scandal surrounding Air Canada is very similar to the Sun Life scandal when, on January 6, 1978, Sun Life Financial announced that it was moving its head office from Montreal to Toronto. To justify the move, the Quebec-based company cited language constraints following the adoption of Bill 101. It took more than 40 years before Quebecers began to forget the move, and many will never forget it.
Air Canada has entered a political hell, and is becoming a companion to Sun Life!
