THE CORONAVIRUS MONSTER-

Humans are like little pebbles on the beach in the universe of planet Earth. Since 2020, all humanity has had to face the threat of a deadly monster that is the Coronavirus and with the approach of the new year 2022, here comes the fourth attack. 

The question that arises: "Who will be the next victims?" The choice of prey is both a kind of randomness of life and a mathematical reality! 

However, the faithful Odysseus is determined that the "monster" will not attack his friends and especially not his master and life partner. Ulysses is not afraid of any monster and he does not back down from any adversary!

GILBERT ROZON OR THE USED CAR SALESMAN...

In another life, I knew Gilbert Rozon well, as did anyone who worked in Montreal in a large company, because Rozon was the ultimate sponsorship salesman with his comedy events and galas. I also knew some of the women who are suing him for sexual assault. 

My personal perception of this whole saga is that life in society is ultimately an action of offering, selling and buying. 

Gilbert is in his soul like a used car salesman and those who accuse him of assault, people who believed that approaching Rozon represented a bargain either in terms of a job, social status, or love; whereas Rozon was offering nothing more than a passing sexuality with no tomorrow. 

The used car bargain is a myth and usually the nice car is not what you think and nothing is ever free! 

Society in the years before October 2017 (Harvey Weinstein) relied heavily on this concept of the car for sale. Thankfully times have changed and it is now a different era, but one should never forget caution and always stay far, far away from used car salesmen...

My faithful Ulysse wanted to scout for our 2021 Christmas gifts and he took me to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, our favorite store in Montreal. We walked through all 5 floors and despite the quality and beauty of the offerings, we decided that this year the Christmas gift we will give to all our friends will be the photo book of Donald Trump... 

I'm sure I'll make many happy!

One of my Facebook friends, Gaspard Fauteux, a political science enthusiast like me, has just launched a website about his maternal grandfather Raoul Barré. Barré was one of the precursors of the cartoon in the years 1912-1919 and whose studio in New York was a reference in the field, just before Walt Disney who arrived in 1928 with his Mickey Mouse. 

The website on Raoul Barré highlights well this Quebec artist. The Cinémathèque québécoise has named one of its exhibition rooms Raoul-Barré.

Ulysse is charmed by the giant tree that was just lit in Old Montreal (Sunday, November 14) and he can't wait to show it to his friends Santa, the Elves and Mr. Snow.
