I went to say goodbye one last time to the Hudson's Bay store on Sainte Catherine Street in Montreal...
An end is always a sad moment, and visiting the closing of a department store is like visiting a funeral home with empty displays and mannequins waiting to be called...
But as the inscription on the handbag of a rare model still at the post said: “C'est la vie”. (That's life)...
I bought myself a few souvenirs, including a watch and a cap, so as not to forget.
The Baie's death saddens me greatly, for it was, figuratively speaking, a faithful friend since the day of my first visit to Montreal.
Farewell, dear Bay store, and good luck to the employees!
