WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Jean Chrétien, born January 11, 1934 in Shawinigan, celebrates his 90th birthday on Thursday, January 11, 2024! Chrétien was Canada's 20th prime minister, from November 4, 1993 to December 12, 2003, a total of 10 years under the banner of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Jean Chrétien was a great politician, generous, and very intelligent. We weren't on the same team, so we didn't become friends, but we would have been if I'd been a Liberal. I met him a few times and he was very kind and polite...Chrétien is reminiscent of the American singer Willie Nelson...
When Willie started singing, he wore a suit and tie. No one listened to him and he was boring. One day, by chance, he sang without a tie at a farm festival and brought the crowd to its feet. He never wore a tie again.
Jean Chrétien is a man of great culture; his house is like the Musée des beaux-arts. His wife was very cultured. One day, in his early days in politics, Chrétien tried to make a "farmer" joke in front of an assembly of Liberal activists, and everyone laughed at him and his joke. He adopted then a simple style with expressions like "Le flag sur le hood..." and "Que voulez-vous...". He'd found his style!
Happy Birthday Jean!
