THE THREAD OF LIFE...

About 25 years ago, Gilbert Rozon, then at the height of his fame, told me at a social gathering that the difference between a rich man like him and a homeless man was just a thin line... 

"It's a matter of luck, environment, timing, and the state of society."

I have never forgotten his comment, which was in a way a premonition of his own fate. I knew Gilbert well professionally, as we both frequented Quebec Inc. in the 1990s and 2000s, and I was very fond of his sister Constance and the twins. 

If there is one conclusion to be drawn from the sad saga of Gilbert Rozon in 2025, it is that life is unpredictable and that leaving the stage can sometimes be painful and agonizing. “Only a very fragile thread separates success and failure in life!”
