FROM THE INSULT TO PAIN - THE MONTREAL TRIATHLON -

Sometimes it's better to laugh than to cry, otherwise we would be in tears too often...
With all the traffic obstacles that Montrealers have to deal with due to construction and various holes in the roadways, Ulysse and I received a circular letter from the organizers of the 2022 Montreal Triathlon.
In the letter, the organizers apologized for completely paralyzing the traffic in Old Montreal during the weekend of June 24-26 because of their event.
Then in the next sentence, they said that to compensate for our inconvenience, they were inviting us to help them and become a volunteer in order to enjoy the weekend and our impeded circulation...
Needless to say, I would not accept their invitation!
As the English say, "It is not worth to fight as it is over our head.
And as the English would add: "Let's go to the beach for the weekend..."
