Former student leader Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois easily won the victory on Monday (May 29, 2017) in the by-election in the Montreal constituency of Gouin (Françoise David). 
Nadeau-Dubois is credited with close to 70% of votes, far ahead of its closest rivals. 
It will be interesting to see the future and in particular the relations between Québec Solidaire and the Parti Québécois. 
Gabriel Nadeau Dubois could be the dangerous competition that until now did not have the current Prime Minister Philippe Couillard.

DONALD TRUMP AND POPE FRANCIS VATICAN CITY —

Pope Francis welcomed President Donald Trump to the Vatican on Wednesday May 24 2017 (8.30 a.m.) shaking his hand before ushering him into his study for the first face-to-face meeting of the two leaders, who symbolize starkly different views of the world. The private audience ended at about 9 a.m., with the signaling of a bell, and soon after Mrs. Trump went into the pope’s studio. 
The pope handed out rosaries to members of the delegation before the group posed for pictures, and then he bade the president and his wife farewell. The pope and the president were both elected as outsiders promising to carry the far-off voices of the forgotten to the centers of global power.
