A war is avoided...

A little more and we were entitled to a cowboy movie with two "Martyrs" attached to poles in a pine forest at Oka ... Its only lacked the cavalry trumpet!
Two owners and land developers have ventured into Oka with the intention to mark the trees they wanted to cut on a land that Indians claim. The Indians were there in large crowd with hoods and cries of war ... Fortunately, the Native American women avoided the killing of the two intruders in negotiating with the police who forced the land developers to leave.
Norfolk and its promoter Normand Ducharme bought the land in Oka, "after" that the Federal Government has decided to consider the claims of Natives People for the place.
