I'm no great expert in the kitchen, but I do have two recipes when I'm entertaining guests: my garlic pasta is renowned and invitations are coveted, but in autumn it's my garden vegetable soup that's on the menu. My soup is particularly popular, as much as is my pasta... It is faithful friend Ulysse who controls the invitations!

If Trudeau's government had done its research, it would have understood that social media is in divorce mode from the news media and has been for several months. Trudeau's battle was unnecessary because the link between Facebook and the news organizations had been terminally ill for several months already. A New York Times report makes this clear as news organizations increasingly struggle to adjust to the breakdown in the long-fraught relationship between publishers and tech platforms. From Facebook to Google, all social networks are cutting ties with traditional media around the world. The marriage didn’t last…

I've added a third book to my bedside reading for autumn 2023: the autobiography of Benjamin Netanyahu, nicknamed BIBI. The leader of Israel at 73 years old is currently playing for his legacy in history books with this war against Hamas. If he succeeds in destroying Hamas, he will be considered a hero, but if he fails, he will be blamed for the massacre of Saturday, October 7, since he had politically supported Hamas in recent years, thinking it would help him in his fight against Palestine. It's fair to say that he's been trapped by Hamas...

WAR IN ISRAEL - 2023 -

The autumn season of 2023 will be remembered for the war in Israel. The war also put the spotlight on the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, also known as BIBI. The atrocities committed on Saturday, October 7, at 6:30 a.m. by Hamas terrorists on Israeli civilians are likely to shape his legacy regardless of the outcome of the war. Netanyahu helped Hamas in the past in order to reduce the power of Palestine. Now he wants to destroy Hamas… This war in Gaza will have a significant impact on the political landscape of the whole world. It is believed that this conflict will have a much greater impact on the political map than the war in Ukraine. The next world map could be on one side countries like Iran, Russia, Syria, China, India, Egypt, Libya, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine; and on the other side: the United States, Europe, and Israel. One could say that Netanyahu is the new Zelensky of the world and that politicians will now be fully concentrated on this war in Gaza and less on the one between Russia against Ukraine. We could also conclude that the world loves wars...

AUTUMN READING 2023-

The autumn season also means bedside reading... 
I took advantage of the Thanksgiving weekend to pick up the memoirs of my favorite actor and one of my sources of inspiration: MAKE IT SO by Patrick Stewart (Star Trek's Jean-Luc Picard). 
A captivating book, and in a way, Stewart's humble origins in rural northern England remind me of my own origins in my rural Gaspésie. Patrick Stewart's memoir also joins the Elon Musk biography on my bedside table. My autumn reading will be shared alternately with these two unique books.
