Throughout my childhood in Gaspésie, I lived through winters surrounded by snow and the crackling sound of the wood stove. My teenage chore was to make sure there was always a supply of wood in the house to feed the fire.
I loved rocking back and forth in the old chair to the sound of burning firewood!
