The city of Montreal is facing a scandal of unprecedented proportions, and it seems as though the city has become a mirror image of the racism found in certain police units, such as those in cities like Minneapolis, Minnesota (George Floyd – May 25, 2020)… Police officers from Precinct 39 in Montreal North allegedly even collected braids of hair from Black people they arrested as trophies, for no other reason than their race… Is the situation limited to Precinct 39 or widespread elsewhere in Montreal? The investigation will tell! It should be noted that it was police officers who raised the alarm about the abuses committed by some of their colleagues… To be continued.
