In the past, Valentine's Day was a time for roses, chocolate, and romantic restaurants... But in 2026, a dozen roses will cost at least $100, a small bar of chocolate will sell for almost $10 at the drugstore, and a meal at a local “bring your own wine” restaurant will cost over $200! Valentine's Day should be about friendship and love! For those who have the financial means, and for those who don't, the fundamental question is how to express our feelings without a financial outlay that's almost worthy of a stock market investment...
It's time to return to the very essence of the holiday: attention, time, and a smile are proof of friendship and love.
