Maybe I'm being naive, but I've always considered politics to be entertainment.
I can choose the political event I attend through my vote or the media I watch, but I will never decide how it unfolds. Politics is fundamentally a game, whether it's Trump, Trudeau, Legault, Zelensky, Putin, Netanyahu, or Valérie Plante...
The political game is never based on facts and common sense but on the emotions, opinions, and power of whoever occupies the chair on stage, the person elected...
Politics is theater or sport at all levels of government and in all eras, whether it's the parents in a family, the board in the management of a condo, or elected officials at municipal, provincial, national, or planetary levels... Citizens are spectators, or as I call myself, “stage managers” in front of political decisions, while politicians are the actors on stage. We must never forget that society's true reality lies behind the stage curtains, and we only see the play that the actors want us to see! The actors decide the play...
Among the next interesting political shows to watch out for are the choice of leaders for the Quebec and Canadian Liberal parties, followed by the Canadian elections.
