At the outset, we must recognize that nothing is eternal and that a commercial enterprise has a life like a tree. The company will cease operations one day and die. This is the fate that seems to be in store for TVA, owned by Quebecor. It wouldn't be the first TV network to disappear. Just think of Musique Plus, once a staple of the music industry.
Quebecor isn't eternal either, but the company is constantly being reborn. From printing, the empire has moved on to cable TV, then the Internet, and now mobile telephony.
