MODERN JOURNALISM IN 2026

TODAY JOURNALISM ACCORDING TO TUCKER CARLSON -
By Bernard Bujold -
I've just read the biography of journalist Tucker Carlson. Tucker Carlson was first a well-known and influential columnist in political magazines (paper editions) but moved to cable television to become known for his leading roles on CNN, MSNBC, and most notably, as the host of Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News until his departure in 2023, and now runs his own platform, Tucker Carlson Network. In 2023, his dismissal from Fox News, despite appearances, was a stroke of luck for Tucker, as it forced him to discover social media.
Today, with the help of people like Elon Musk, Tucker dominates the world of Internet journalism. Another of Tucker's talents is knowing when to support a politician and when not. He's a great ally of Donald Trump, and it's said that it's thanks to him that Trump chose J.D. Vance as his vice-president... Tucker's biography is captivating and informative.
In a way, it's a look at the evolution of modern journalism. The book by Jason Zengerle uses Tucker Carlson’s career as a lens to examine how the media landscape has shifted from traditional print magazines to cable news dominance, and finally to the today fragmented, influencer-driven world of social media and independent platforms.
