La Presse may experience difficulties with its unions.
Management plans to reduce its workforce and transform its operations just as did the Journal de Montreal after a long conflict with journalists. It will be remembered that the direction of La Presse in 2009 had threatened to close the newspaper definitively if union did not accept an increase in their working week.
