Ulysses loves flowers and especially spring tulips. In Montreal, the most beautiful tulips are undoubtedly those in front of the old condo building of PK Subban, at the Acadia on Sherbrooke Street in front of the Ritz. Obviously PK is no longer there but the tulips, edition 2019, are extraordinary and magnificent!

BLACKLIST AND GAME OF THRONES

No one in the media noticed it but the finale of both BLACKLIST and GAME OF THRONES used the same ending line... A kiss and death by knife! Of course we know that Raymond Reddington will survive as the series is back next season. For GAME OF THRONES, it is supposed to be a final end but Dany could also come back in the future as she was taking away by DROGON. 
In the television world, immortality is always a possibility.

GAME OF THRONES FINALE -

The finale episode of the series GAME OF THRONES was a sad one for every fan as everyone ends up dead including the Queen DANY killed by JON and the iron throne is burned down by DROGON (the dragon) who fly away with his dead queen. A new king is an elected and it is Bran (the one in the wheelchair) who is chosen! 
After 8 years of wars and destruction, that is the final result... End of the story!

SPRING 2019 - VISIT AT THE MUSEUM

Ulysses has been very excited since the arrival of spring 2019 and on Sunday, May 19, he invaded the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. He loves classical works but especially canvases representing coastal landscapes such as those displayed in the Pavilion for Peace. 
It was also obvious for Ulysse to go greet the friend, to both his master and him, that is "OCTOBER".
Also, the two visitors loved the "Sun" tree installed annually in front of the Museum during the spring-summer-autumn seasons, a creation by Dale Chihuly.

HORSE RACING IN 2019

HORSE RACING IN 2019

During the Kentucky Derby my favorite horse was IMPROBABLE. Every one knows the mess that happened at the Kentucky race on May 4 and the disqualification of the winner horse MAXIMUM SECURITY. 
This Saturday May 18, 2019, the favorite horse at the PREAKNESS STAKES, according to many of the experts, was IMPROBABLE. I was very excited! 
But guess what, the star of the race was another horse named BODEXPRESS which ejected his rider at the starting gates and run the whole race alone... 
The lone horse almost won the race but finally, the winner of the Preakness was WAR OF WILL, and his rider! 
Conclusion: Horse racing is becoming really unpredictable!

CONRAD BLACK AND HIS PARDON

CONRAD BLACK AND HIS PARDON -

I have known Conrad Black since around the 1980 and I always looked at him as a great press magnate. In my opinion, he was a media man as brilliant as the one in the category of the Rupert Murdoch, Ted Turner, Thomson or Lord Beaverbrook. 
Conrad Black was the only subject on which Pierre Peladeau and I, another media man for whom I was the executive assistant, did not agree as he did not like the man while I admired him deeply. 
I am very happy that another public figure, Donald Trump, that I also admire very much, is now giving Conrad Black a presidential pardon. 
The only reason why Mr. Black got a prison sentence, it appears to me, is because he refused to refund the money received as dividends and decided to fight the authority request in Court. He was convinced of his right but he lost his battle and got a prison sentence. 
Now Conrad Black reputation is repaired and he will be recognized again as the great business man and scholar that he is. 
Congratulations to you Mr. Black, and thanks to you Mr. President Donald Trump.

SPRING 2019 - VISIT TO THE FLORIST -

Ulysses loves spring 2019, because he can enjoy the seasonal flowers. His favourite are tulips and his regular florist is the one on Saint-Jacques Street in Old Montreal across from Quebecor. The owner, a very nice old man, reminds us of Donald Trump as much for his style (his physical appearance and his blond hair) as for his language, which is rarely politically correct and which is always a bit provocative...
