Adele wins 6 Grammy Awards and she sings for the audience at the TV Gala

The British singer Adele won six Grammy Awards including the 2012 album of the Year with his recording 21.
Adele also sang at the Grammy's Gala on TV and she showed that her absence from the scene was only temporary...

Whitney Houston is dead...

Singer Whitney Houston (48 years) died in her room at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She had drug problems since several years but the cause of death was not disclosed and the result of the autopsy will only be released in several weeks.

Bob Rae and the future of Canada

Very interesting article in today National Post (Saturday February 11, 2012).
Conrad Black wrote that a fusion between the Liberal and NPD is the only way to defeat Stephen Harper. Black also suggest that Bob Rae become leader for the Liberal and Thomas Mulcair for the NPD.

The Iliad and the Arab Spring

The new book The Iliad (Homer) translated by Stephen Mitchell and currently in library is an excellent book that shows beyond doubt that the Arab Spring was inspired by this poem dating back over 2,700 years.
All European cultures have also been influenced by the Iliad and the Odyssey and the recent wars in North Africa are no exception.

The founder of the website Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington, has just launched her official website version Quebec. In all, seven employees but other contributors (bloggers) are all volunteers.
The project Huffington Quebec looks like other former Quebec website.
Quebec89 and and MIR (Michel Brulé) are two projects that have only survived six months each before closing. Another former website, Rue Frontenac had succeeded in establishing itself in its popularity but not financially. LeStudio1.com was never profitable during its operational period from 2005 to 2010 in magazine format. It is now presented as a private blog.
The prediction is low on the long-term success for Huffington Quebec unless the founder would agree to invest the 315 million$ she received for selling her site to AOL but she obviously will not do it...
The business plan of Québec89 and Mir were very similar to the current project proposed by Huffington Quebec. The description of intent published in the inaugural edition of the Huffington Post is virtually the same as Michel Brulé in the MIR and editor Québec89 had published at their launching.
To succeed, one would have to propose a different approach to information processing, which is not the case, otherwise it is imperative to have the convergence of a large local group as LA PRESSE or QUEBECOR, which is not the case either.

Journey to the End of the world

The trip is an illusion and reality is above all in our imagination.
Departures always bring us back to our origins and each reality is only a vision of our imagination.

This photo essay idea came to mind to Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) when he went to fetch his coffee at his supplier on Crescent Street in Montreal and while he walked in front of his favorite merchant Louis Vuitton - Ogilvy Montreal.
The driver displays in the shop window reminds Bernard of his years of youths in the Gaspé but the rest of the story is imaginary ...

Football Super Bowl 2012; the spectacle of Madonna; Johhny Hallyday's songs; and the tragedy of Dr. Isabelle Gaston ...

The evening of Sunday, February 5, 2012 was like a buffet at a party gala where there is too much to eat and where it finally impossible to taste everything and being able to enjoy everything.
Three very good TV shows were on air at the same time and all were exceptional productions.
Super Bowl 2012 (NBC) has been an exciting and competitive game, up to the very end with a final touchdown and the surprise victory of the New York Giants against the New England Patriots to the score of 21 to 17.
The spectacle of Super Bowl halftime by Madonna was also exceptional and the artist has truly captivated her audiences with the staging and especially the costumes.
As for the singer Johnny Hallyday (TVA), he was at the height of the character and the few songs he sang in Star Academy gave us the desire to go see his show when he will return to Montreal in late 2012.
Finally, Dr. Isabelle Gaston (CBC) was moving when she told her emotions and how she continue her life after the murder of her two children by their father, cardiologist Guy Turcotte.
A unique evening in television but unfortunately it was crushed by an awkward schedule placement from the two local broadcasters Radio-Canada and TVA.

No one could ask the Super Bowl and NBC to change their schedule ...
