Christmas is a celebration for children, and for adults too, if you know how to keep your childlike spirit... My best Christmas ever was when I was 3 years old. I still remember it, even as an old man!
My parents bought me a little kit of cowboy and Indian figurines with horses, and my father set them up on a wooden board. He had hidden the board in the shed, and when he came into the kitchen, he said to me: “Santa came last night and brought you a nice present! He must love you very much!” Of course, Santa is a legend, but I believed my father.
For some reason, that memory has always stayed with me, even though I was only three years old. I can still see my father holding the little black horse in his hand with a cowboy to ride it.
