A friend asked me what I thought of the new TV series VIE$ de rêve. The problem, as I see it, is that the truly rich never flaunt their wealth! The richer they are, the more discreet they are! Those who do flaunt their wealth (e.g., the guy who owns the retirement homes or the owner of the movie theater chain) are generally leveraged, indebted more than they own, and in the end, they're not really solvent, so they're de facto poor...
Anyway, I personally won't be watching the series because I'm not convinced of its reality!
And then there's a universal principle: the dividing line between wealth and poverty hangs by a very thin thread...
