The victory will have been something of a draw, as the U.S. Senate remains tied at 50-50; and the Republicans will likely win Congress but with a majority of only a few seats.
If there is a conclusion, it is that the United States remains as polarized as ever.
The situation is not unique to the United States and this extreme polarization can be found all over Europe (France, England), and the war between Russia and Ukraine is also a polarization of political opinions.
We will have to wait in the coming days and weeks for the final results of the American mid-term elections.
Until then, Donald Trump is expected to hold a press conference next Tuesday, November 15, to announce his candidacy for the presidential election of 2024.
