We hear many media executives complain that people don't like them... It's like a singer complaining that his audience doesn't like his songs!
Media is easy to understand. You need a transmitter and an audience. It's like with the arts. You either like it or you don't. Each media is like an artist who has his audience. A media wants to please its audience and try to have as large an audience as possible. To believe that the media is the "total truth" is naive. A media is nothing more than entertainment.
News has become entertainment and as in entertainment, people choose according to their tastes. I, for example, do not like CNN, I never watch it. Conversely, a left-wing individual will like CNN and will never watch FOX.
In entertainment, the listener (viewer) chooses! And the media offers what its audience likes to hear and see...
