US MIDTERM ELECTIONS 2018 (NOVEMBER 6) -

For President Donald TRUMP it was the Senate he wanted to protect and he won. 
The Senate is responsible for confirming the President's appointments and bills. 
Moreover, and this is important, any attempt to demand impeachment by Congress will be blocked by the Senate which has the final word on any proposal in this sense by the Congress. Donald Trump did not have enough time to campaign for the hundreds of congressional candidates and he chose the Senate. 
Another good sign for him and his power to convince voters is that all the Senate candidates he supported and for whom he held rallies won, including the important Florida seat. 
In addition, all the new elected Republican Senators will be loyal to Donald, which was not the case with the former Senate, like Senator John McCain... 
Now Donald will be able to start his 2020 campaign in order to win the next presidential election. 
In conclusion: the 2018 US Midterm elections were about big campaign money, message and President Donald Trump. 
After a tumultuous Election Night, Democrats on Wednesday morning had one of the big prize they desperately wanted: Control of the House of Representatives, but Republicans could claim bragging rights as well by bolstering their hold on the other prize: the US Senate. 
Now, the next US political race, which is already started, is for the 2020 Presidential election! Go Donald! Go!
