WOMEN'S LOVE FOR YOUNGER MEN ...

WOMEN IN LOVE WITH YOUNGER MEN ...
By Bernard Bujold -
Radio-Canada presented this Friday, January 5, 2017 a documentary about women qualified as "cougars" because they are in love with men much younger than them.
Among the well-known personalities participating in the show were Minou Petrowski and Patricia Tulasne, the actress who is suing Gilbert Rozon for sexual abuse.
Minou Petrowski has lost nothing of her media presence despite her 86 years and the author-journalist was the one that impressed me the most during this documentary that can be reviewed on ALL TV.
Conclusion: "Love knows no age ..."

THE STANLEY CUP IN 2018...

THE STANLEY CUP 2018 ...
By Bernard Bujold -
I am not a hockey fan, but I was offered free tickets and went to see the hockey exhibition at the Pointe à Callière Museum in Old Montreal. For hockey fans it's really an exhibition to be seen with a magnificent history of hockey in Canada since its debut, well before the National Hockey League.
By pure chance, during my visit, it was also a special day where the real Stanley Cup was on the spot, but for the day of January 3rd only! We can say that the visitors during this day could see and touch the Stanley Cup more closely than all players of the Canadiens did for decades ...
The exhibition ends next March.

LIVE FROM THE NORTH POLE ... DAY OF THE NEW YEAR 2018

LIVE FROM THE NORTHERN POLE ... DAY OF THE NEW YEAR 2018
By Bernard Bujold -
I spent the New Year's day live at the North Pole at the invitation of Santa Claus to spend the last week of 2017 at his home.
The weather was relatively mild compared to Quebec during the same time ...
To end the week in style, Santa kindly brought me back to Quebec in his magnificent vehicle, a true marvel of technology!
Happy New Year 2018 to all!

THE NEW YEAR 2018

THE NEW YEAR 2018
by Bernard Bujold
The year 2017 ends and at each New Year's party, I like to make a "report" before embarking on the future and "predict" what will be the new year!
From the last year, I retain the following elements, which will influence 2018:

PHOTOGRAPHY-

Smartphone photography has definitely replaced traditional photography. Just compare photos taken with IPhone X with those of a conventional camera to understand;

INTERNET-
The arrival of "Google Home" in our living rooms is in a very primary stage but the future of the internet will develop from this kind of machine and artificial intelligence;

BOOKS-
I read hundreds of books in 2017, of which I put the following three at the top of my readings:

1. "ORIGINS" by Dan Brown, certainly a prophetic look at the future of our humanity.

2. "LET TRUMP BE TRUMP", a look at the most notorious politician of our entire planet,

3. "TWO NIGHTS" by Kathy Reichs, her new character Sunnie is so captivating that one almost gets to forget the very famous BONES;

THE MEDIA -

There was a period when I was a daily fan of CNN and Anderson Cooper. In 2017, I may have listened to Cooper a dozen times at the beginning of the year, but since June, I have completely abandoned CNN and I am a regular at FOX News;

INTERNATIONAL NEWSPAPERS-
There was a time when I read dozens of paper newspapers every day. During the last year, I read only one: the WSJ and I sometimes flipped through a few others, from time to time;

QUEBEC NEWSPAPERS-
It will be necessary to see how the market of Quebec newspapers will stabilize in 2018. Le Devoir, despite its limited means, hopes to occupy the space left free by La Presse in paper format. All observers will also monitor the progress of LA PRESSE + that some call it a stroke of genius while others consider this project the failure of the decade. Let's mention that LA PRESSE + is not yet financially profitable ;

MODERN INQUISITION -
If there is a social momentum to be monitored in 2018, it will be the direction in which go the wave that began in 2017 in terms of the denunciations and accusations for abuse by the leaders of our society.
During the past year, many leaders have been eliminated from society and, unfortunately, their creations have also been swept away by the fall of the creators.
It is unacceptable that humans dominate and benefit from other humans but what happens if in their elimination, their empire is also eliminated? Thousands of employees are penalized by the fall of deplorable leaders.
The answer is not as simple as saying that we need exemplary leaders because this situation is utopian, a leader usually having qualities equal to his faults!

I wish you all a Happy New Year 2018.
Remember that the important thing in life is to adapt and survive as to continue your journey.
Have a nice trip!

MONTREAL OUT OF THE NEWSPAPER LA PRESSE

MONTREAL OUT OF THE NEWSPAPER LA PRESSE -
LA PRESSE in paper format (October 20, 1884 - December 30, 2017)
By Bernard Bujold
LA PRESSE readers in print format are living today, Saturday, December 30, 2017, a very deep mourning.
The end of a symbol and a way of life for Montrealers, the complete end of their main newspaper. There are still other paper newspapers still alive in Montreal, such as Le Devoir and Le Journal de Montréal, but none will replace LA PRESSE in paper format ...
Goodbye dear LA PRESSE!

THE SANTA'S ELVES 2017

THE SANTA'S ELVES OF THE CHRISTMAS 2017-
By Bernard Bujold -
Our friends the Elves said they loved their stay in town for Christmas 2017.
The Elves left the city silently early in the morning, Wednesday, December 27, but promised to return as of December 1, 2018. The Elves wanted to stay for the famous "Boxing Day", which explains the delay of their departure!
Happy New Year 2018 to the Elves and next year...

MEETING OF JESUS... By Bernard Bujold -
The newborn has arrived in all Catholic churches around the world and this is indeed the case at the Cathedral Mary, Queen of the World in Montreal.
I took advantage of my visit to light a candle...

THE SOCIETY IN 2017

THE SOCIETY IN 2017-
by Bernard Bujold -
The holiday season is the time to take a look on the year that is coming to an end.
If there is a constant during the last year, it is the series of various accusations against many of the leaders of our society!
Will this momentum give a better society in 2018?
It will be necessary to see and nobody can be against the evolution of the civilization except that we should not go back to the time of the "inquisition".
A particular aspect of the accused targets must be noted. All were leaders of our society! The danger is that a society without a leader is a weak society. The Charles Dutoit, Steve Jobs, Gilbert Sicotte, Guy Cloutier or Gilbert Rozon were all great creators but with a behavioral default equivalent to their talent.
A leaderless society is like a jungle without a lion and only gazelles...
To be follow in 2018!
