STATIC GOLD - THE MUSIC DISCOVERY OF SUMMER 2015

By Bernard Bujold -
By chance we sometimes find unexpected discoveries in surprise locations! This is my case with the musical group STATIC GOLD.
I wanted to enjoy the urban sun of Montreal a late Saturday afternoon in July (July 11) and I stopped in the Old Port where, on a side stage of a festival (Festival International de Percussions 2015) was performing a white band with a black singer. If I was still in the artistic business and if the music industry was not as unpredictable as it is to conquer, I would have courted them professionally because they are so much talented!
I was seduced by the charisma of the singer (Zaynab "Zaya" Solange) and by the other musicians of the group. I made my artistic discovery of summer 2015 and it made my Saturday...

CANADIAN OLYMPIC HOUSE IN MONTREAL ...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Canada Olympic House was inaugurated with great pomp on Thursday July 9, 2016 and we can say that the opening party was worthy of an evening where all Montreal had met. René Lévesque Boulevard was closed and a real park had been built to accommodate the public for an evening.
Nadia Comaneci had made the journey to Montreal especially for the festivities.
Canada Olympic House in Montreal will now be representative of the Canadian Olympic spirit for all athletes and citizens of Canada.

BILL COSBY AND ASSOCIATES ...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Developments in accusations of sexual crimes involving Bill Cosby are adding to the numerous sex scandals, economic and political time. As many observers say: "All our society tags disappear ..."
The acts by Bill Cosby, who called himself a strong supporter of family life and who had strongly criticized the lack of discipline of Black Americans and especially their sexual promiscuity, are particularly disappointing. In a sense, the acts of Cosby resemble those of Quebecers Marcel Brisebois, also a large symbol for our society and a member of the intellectual elite, who was recently arrested and charged with sexual assault of a minor when he headed a private college in Valleyfield.
Each new unveiled crime is always more shocking and surprising than the last!
One may wonder if worse is yet to come?
To be continued....

THE ART OF SAFETY ON BIKE... AND GENEVIÈVE RICHER

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Cycling is a very dangerous sport, even one of the most violent!
In fact, just walking as pedestrian downtown Montreal or in the halls of the central station during the offices exit time is an exercise where one should almost wear helmets.
Cycling on roads for cars is an exercise with high danger...
Conclusions: The best place for cycling is in the garage or on a stationary bike at the gym! Furthermore, if there is an interesting discovery, following the bike accident of journalist Isabelle Richer, is that of her sister Geneviève Richer! Genevieve is a doctor but she would make an excellent journalist and we should give her the host of a television health program.

NADIA COMANECI - OLYMPIC CHAMPION ...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Nadia Comaneci, the great Olympic champion who has marked the history of the 1976 Olympics, returns to Montreal July 9, 2015 for the inauguration of the Canada Olympic House.
Nadia lives in the United States with her husband and former gymnast Bart Conner, and their nine year old son, for several years but she never forgot Montreal.
She also often ask herself the question, that some might call existential. Why after so many years (39 years), the world he still remembers my exploits? Why moments ultimately so short in time, mark a life and become enrolled in the history?
"What surprises me most after all these years is that people still remember it, she says. How, then, can people remember something that happened 39 years ago? Now it all makes me realize that time passes and I imagine having accomplished something very big for people to remember it much. Yet there is so many things that happen only once in life. But there must be something special in what I did to it is fixed in people's memory. "
The reverse is also true in some cases, certain short failures will mark forever the history. Finally, it is a fully existential issue and there is no answer! Better to accept the gift of fate... Congratulations to Nadia and welcome back to Montreal! We love you all very much!

The President of Quebec Bar and shoplifting

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
The case of the prosecution for shoplifting towards the President of the Quebec Bar, Mr. Lu Chan Khuong, is probably true.
There are two categories of professionals who know the various tricks of thieves and it is the police and the lawyers.
Personally I have known, in another life, several policemen including one with who I wanted to start a private detective agency. He knew all the thieves tricks and liked to tell about it...
The ABC of shoplifting is easy to identify:
1. change price tags;
2. place the goods to be stolen in his personal bag;
3. simply leave his old clothing in the dressing room and put on the new one to be stolen.
The trick to pay twice a garment similar to the one we want out of the shop is a variation of trick 2 (personal bag). Presumably the article repaid twice will be much cheaper than what is hidden in the bag, hence the profit!
The rules of non-prosecution program are also very accurate. The prosecutor must be fully convinced and have the strong evidence of the guilt about the accused before offering non-prosecution.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. This case is another big disappointment about the moral values of the leaders of our society;
2. How sad for the sympathetic Marc Bellemare who had already experienced the unjust humiliation in the case of his daughter Lysanne and organized crime ... "

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUNE 2015 - HOW TO LIVE...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
The greatest richness of life, if not the only, is the youth, no doubt about that statement.
But for other ages if we have 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80 years?
We must accept the reality and above all, always make the most of life and his journey!
Of course sometimes you leave the lake and watch from the beach... or exchange the fast racing bike for a country one and go walking on quieter trails!
The reality is that life is not a right but a privilege and that, as much for a young person of 20 years as for an person advanced in age. It is therefore important to enjoy, to love and live fully each of the now moments of our lives. In other words: "... always love what you are doing ..." The importance should be given to each activity that we accomplish rather than to grant it to outcomes, which perhaps will never realize... Do not aim the reward but enjoy the present! Not easy, but it is possible and it is the key to happiness...
All that to say that this weekend (Sunday June 28) it's my birthday! I will take the opportunity to enjoy my favorite meal: a delicious Big Mac from McDonald's .. and watch the ducks on the lake!
And as life lasts only for one song... I wish myself a happy summer 2015 and especially "happy birthday!"
