JUSTIN TRUDEAU LEFT TOO SOON...

Canada's Liberal leadership candidate, Mark Carney, is in free fall at 30% since the two debates, while Poilièvre has climbed back to 43%. Justin has never been more unifying than since he announced his resignation on January 6, while Donald Trump came with tariffs on January 31. If Justin had waited until after the tariffs were announced, he wouldn't have had to resign. I was one of those who were convinced that Carney would crush Poilièvre, but since the debates, we have to admit that he doesn't hold up. That's why many observers say that if Justin could come back, he'd have a better chance than Carney in the election, which is increasingly rumoured to be postponed until the October 25 deadline in the fall. Carney is reminiscent of Michael Ignatieff. A brilliant intellectual, but we know an election is won by emotions and image, never by qualifications or common sense. 
The leadership vote results will be known this Sunday, March 9. 
Justin Trudeau's comeback could eventually take place as his father did in 1980 and as Robert Bourassa did in 1985. However, we'll have to wait for the Liberal Party to be defeated in the next general election.

Another institution has just announced its demise: the skating rink in Montreal's Old Port, inaugurated in December 1992. Personally, now an old man, it's been a few years since I stopped frequenting the place - in fact, I'd given my skates away to Renaissance... As I got older, I didn't like the cold, so I didn't like skating anymore! 
I'm told there's a new outdoor skating rink on Ste-Catherine Street, and it's very popular...

Emotions are the opposite of reality. Emotions must be controlled to reach reality. Emotions currently dominate world politics, and the countries that will succeed in controlling them will be the masters of their world. President Donald Trump is at the center of this challenge. Trump wants the U.S. to stop being the “umbrella” for the rest of the world, and American citizens elected him on this proposition. Various media polls show that Americans have been satisfied with Trump's decisions since his election, with an average of 75%, including his speech on Tuesday evening, March 4, 2025. 

Conclusion: The future lies in controlling emotions!

Tonight, this Tuesday, March 4, 2025, President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech to the nation as part of an address to a joint session of Congress. This event will take place at the US Capitol in Washington. The address is set to begin at 9:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live. While technically not an official "State of the Union" address due to it occurring early in Trump's term, it serves a similar purpose, outlining his administration’s agenda and vision for the country.

What was supposed to be a pleasant diplomatic meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelinsky quickly turned into a bitter verbal spat in front of the world's media. Zelinsky wanted to aggressively impose his ideas on Trump, and we all know that Donald doesn't like to be pushed around... The dinner invitation was canceled, and Zelinsky was asked to leave. 

It is said that White House employees inherited the meal prepared for Zelinsky...
