EDWARD SNOWDEN - A modern patriot ...
By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The NBC television network has managed a coup by getting a Exclusive Interview with Edward Snowden.
If some call Snowden traitor to the American Nation, others consider him a hero and a modern patriot because he revealed espionage made on citizens by the U.S. government.
The NBC interview was conducted secretly in a hotel in Moscow.

BRIAN MULRONEY - CHAIRMAN OF QUEBECOR
The former Prime Minister of Canada, Brian Mulroney, will be appointed President Board of Quebecor next month at the annual meeting on 19 June.
This appointment would be done to get away Quebecor from Pierre-Karl Peladeau which maintains sovereignist projects with Parti Québécois while Quebecor wants to do business at the Canadian level, including in wireless telephony.
We know that Brian Mulroney does not share the political vision of PKP, even though the two men were in the past very great friends.

MARCEL CÔTÉ - An unlucky man...
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
Marcel Côté (1942-2014) became a nice man with age and if younger, he was sometimes abrupt and a bit on a too rebellious tone, Marcel was in recent years a very nice person to know.
Personally, I have known Marcel Côté in the 90s and I was distrusted sometimes by his too much disturbing franchise.
For this reason, I had forgotten about him until last season election for mayor of Montreal.
I liked his arguments and program and since I was ready to vote for anyone but Coderre, in which I had no confidence, I decided then to vote for Marcel Côté.
Unfortunately, while reading a story in La Presse, I discovered that his press secretary was a former publicist at National. I knew her as she has been in the middle of an adventure in my professional life.
I was beginning a new job as a press attaché in the government of Bernard Landry and on the first morning on the job, I meet this ex- publicist of National who recognizes me and looks at me suspiciously. In the afternoon, the Chief of Staff convenes me saying that I could not remain in office as a boss from National threatened to boycott the government (at least the department where I was assigned ... ) and she added that the order came to NATIONAL from someone high up at QUEBECOR, which person she did not tell me the name, despite my insistence to know it.
In 2013 , I had not forgotten about this event and it was obvious that I could not vote for a candidate who had as close staff the same person who attacked me personally in 2002.
Marcel Côté therefore did not get my vote, even though I considered him to be the best candidate. He was unlucky, at least for my vote...
After sharing my findings to the organization of Marcel Côté, which confirmed the situation, I pulled on Mélanie Joly who was by me the most interesting candidate in contention after Marcel. To my deep sadness, Coderre won the election...
I was completely stunned when I learned of the death of Marcel Côté on Saturday, 24 May 2014. With hindsight, I liked him and I regret that he did not become mayor of Montreal.
Strangely, this is an organizer of Mélanie Joly, who told me news of his death ...

COUPLE PIERRE-KARL PÉLADEAU AND JULIE SNYDER ...
It is the reconciliation of the most publicized couple in Quebec, Pierre-Karl Peladeau and Julie Snyder.
It will be recalled that in early 2014 (January 12), the couple announced their separation by an official press release.
Julie has now announced their resumption as a couple during an exclusive interview on radio...
Note to those who thought to take the open place...

FIGHTING THE DEFICIT - Philippe Couillard and his reading...
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
Some say the bedside book of Philippe Couillard is : CAPITAL by Thomas Piketty .
The original version in French (LE CAPITAL AU 21E SIÈCLE ) published last fall (2013) has already been exhausted ( nearly 100,000 copies sold in France ) and the recent English translation
(2014) is quickly becaming a bestseller in the United States and England ( 200,000 copies sold).
The treaty of Piketty is a reflection on wealth and taxes. The author suggests that we should tax wealth rather than working as is currently the case. The example of Liliane Bettencourt is mentioned as she had inherited from his father a fortune of $ 2 billion that has increased over the years to $ 25 billion , and without the heir doing any work a single day in her life...
According to Piketty, the solution to the deficit of the global economy is to tax capital accumulation (wealth).
Is Philippe Couillard apply this approach discreetly in his province?

PIERRE KARL PÉLADEAU - A dramatic destiny ...
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
Le Journal de Montreal published a detailed account of the moments that followed the bike accident of Pierre Karl Peladeau.
Obviously, he could have ended his life alone on an isolated path in the forest. His death would have been even more dramatic than his sister Isabelle who recently died in a strange way and very dramatic while drowning in her car that had slipped into the lake behind her home. ( 23 November 2013 )
PKP fortunately survived... but he will have to recover for at least three months in a wheelchair before starting to walk.
Here is his message posted on Facebook:
"Hello everyone, here Pierre Karl, I write to you live from my bed at the CHUS. I am photographed with my "new boss" Micheline Ouellet assistant head nurse ( she spent 40 years of her life to heal the sick, so I'm in good hands ) and thanks to the care doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapist and attendants, I 'm doing well despite my multiple fractures. Thank Lina Cantin who found me at the edge of the road, called 911 and managed to contact Julie on whom I could rely on to accompany me through this event. Also thank Alain Sylvain and his wife Dominique , thank you to Marc- André from Sépaq, thank you to a cyclist who luckily is also an emergency Hospital Laurentien in Sainte- Agathe (unfortunately, Julie does not remember the name of this good Samaritan. If you know let us know, we would like to thank him ). This is Julie who told me that all these people took care of me at the edge of path until the paramedics arrived. I attended the work of the National Assembly today via television and I thank the leaders who wished me a speedy recovery. Thank you for your words of encouragement . Once I have my leave , I will go in to my seat wheelchair seat of the Assembl. I give you more news soon. Thank you and good evening" - Pierre Karl

LISA LEBLANC - Acadian Beauty ...
Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The interview with Lisa Leblanc was broadcast Monday, May 19 on RDI.
A kind of meeting in the lounge between host Anne-Marie Dussault, Antonine Maillet and Lisa Leblanc.
Lisa might be called "Acadian Poet" and if she is very proud of her origins, she prefers to appear as a young artist of 23 years old rather than an "Acadian Militant" as was Antonine Maillet during her entire career. What Lisa admires above all in life are people, their ancestors and the expression of the soul through her songs and music.
The interview with Anne Marie Dussault is exceptional in the sense that we discover the freshness of Lisa Leblanc and the beauty of her natural talent and, especially, of her person!

NEWSPAPERS OF LA PRESSE - End of the paper editions ...
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
The end of the paper editions of the newspapers La Presse group was announced officially by the two son Desmarais owner of the media group in the Annual Meeting of Power Corp.
The exact date has not been specified but it would be on their desks...
They intend to focus on online activities such as LaPresse+ and they will permanently close regional newspapers as Le Droit and Le Soleil.
The Internet has completely transformed the market for paper advertising.
In total $ 40 million were spent to create the Press + . But the more complicated about this strategy is that the profitability of all process will be made by the paper and printing economy... In a sense, this is like selling his large country house at a loss to buy a condo in the city at full price by saying that over the coming years, the cost that will be saved in heating and maintenance will make a profit on the new condo...
A meeting with the unions is at the agenda on May 20 in Montreal...

GAB ROY - The power of the Internet ...
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
The Internet is not responsible for the acts ( crimes charges ) arising by Gab Roy, despite what many said. Roy is rather the "victim" of the Internet because it has not followed the rules. If he believed to dominate the Internet, he was wrong because Internet has not only dominated Gab , she simply crushed and destroyed him! The Internet is a tool, nothing more, nothing less, but a very powerful tool as fire. Its use is not only dangerous, it can be fatal if there is negligence ! According to me, there are four basic rules to be followed for the Internet to serve us rather than to destroy us :
1: INTERNET MESSAGES ARE ETERNAL - Never forget that the Internet is a public bulletin board that does not clear out because its distribution is electronic, therefore reproducible clone by anyone who consults it and wants to reproduce ;
2: INTERNET IS PUBLIC - Whatever you publish on the Internet must reflect the message that you want to transmit to the public. Nothing is private in any way ;
3: INTERNET IS A MIRAGE - One should never believe what is published on Internet as the absolute truth. All internet messages reflect the thought and vision of the one who publishes and for this reason, the ideas published may be outside of reality. In addition, because of the electronic (Photoshop, iMovie, etc... ) any message becomes malleable like a movie fiction.
Of course fiction reflects reality but we must know how to evaluate and especially compare the messages between them to highlight the "real" truth and reality ;
4: SEPARATION OF PRIVACY AND INTERNET LIFE - Understand that the Internet is like a planet or a city, of universal jurisdiction that does not know the conventional physical limits. The big difference of the Internet is its free accessibility and Virtual constitution without boundaries. In this sense, we can not describe the relationship (friends ) of Facebook true friends. They are virtual links that live on the Internet.
Personally, I never meet in person the people with whom I communicate on Internet because they are part of my internet world, which is virtual and not real.
The INTERNET is a great tool if you know how to use it according to the rules and especially if you respect it. The Julian Assange and Edward Snowden understand the Internet and they used it effectively, to help their agenda respective.
Personally I like to repeat that my social sites are like Personal living room. Of course internet living room, because my real living room is private...
Have good Fun on the Internet ...

RADIO CANADA / CBC - It's future...
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
The debate is now launched on who is or is not a " CBC / RADIO-CANADA citizen"...
It is obvious that Pierre- Karl Peladeau is not a real "CBC citizen" but a " Quebecor " one.
For me, a true CBC / Radio-Canada citizen is like a Bernard Derome, a Sylvain Lafrance or an Abbé Lanteigne ( CBC Moncton). Unfortunately, all three left ( against their will ) the CBC / RADIO-CANADA...
In this sense, one might conclude that the CBC from La Belle Epoque no longer exist and it will never exist any more as an organization, because any organization does not exist in itself. An institution or an organization is the reality (the creation) of the people who are part of its every day life!
CBC / RADIO-CANADA was for me Bernard Derome and his heyday. But I am a realist and I know that nothing lasts forever, and I'm not romantic about the past...
The future of CBC / RADIO-CANADA will be the one that its employees will, or may able to make depending on the budgets available.
Stay tuned!

TRAGIC FATE (1981-2014) - Mathilde Blais
Bernard Bujold ( LeStudio1.com ) -
I live in Old Montreal and I recently traveled by bicycle to a merchant on Ste-Catherine St. in Montreal. I then redid the path from the store to Old Montreal passing by the street (hill) University. I then said to myself : It's really too dangerous to travel by bike in the city. This is dangerous for one life ! My observation was somewhat prescient !
On Monday (April 28, 2014 ) occurred the fatal accident on St -Denis Street...
Her name was Mathilde Blais; she was 33 years old; she had a beautiful and useful job for society as a teacher in a primary school of Montreal (St- Henri); she was athletic and often went to work by bike. She died crushed by a truck in a tunnel on St -Denis ! Tragic fate...
Conclusion : The city traffic is a dangerous jungle more dangerous than the real jungle... and the destiny of a life is sometimes more than tragic !
